Broome has to be my favourite place to visit in Western Australia it has a little bit of everything always a relaxing trip. Must eat at the Zookeepers Store, a cold beer from Matsos, watch a movie at Sun Pictures Cinema, check out the crocodiles at the Malcolm Douglas Wildlife Park, sunsets at Cable Beach and blissful massages at Bali Hai.
An easy city with great shopping and restaurants, excellent public transportation, lovely parks and a close-in international airport, an easy day's drive from Western Australia's Margaret River wine region and beautiful Southern Forests.
A week was a bit to long, there isn't enough to see or do to keep yourself occupied for that long. Very hot and humid as expected in North Western Australia. Good for a four day break for those from Perth, as it is only a short trip.
The Explorer Bus tour (hop-on/hop off, 24 hour ticket) was excellent, as it took us around the city and Kings Park - giving us the opportunity to choose where we wanted to go back to and see more of. Kings Park is wonderful, and the views of the city and the Swan River from it are amazing. We ate at Hans (Chinese/Thai) - good, with prompt service; and The Chippery with an inventive, tasty menu, (newly-opened in a tiny, ex-Bank building, complete with wonderfully decorated vault with fish tank and thick Chubb door). Yes, getting around Perth was easy, just put one foot in front of the other, and follow the map, The Bell Tower (with the 15th century bells from St.- Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, London) is a must, and the parks nearby, next to the Supreme Court of W.A., are lovely...grazing kangaroos sculpture is another must. Also, see how many amazingly painted cows you can find, we found nine, there may have been more. State Library and environs well worth wandering around. P.S. St. Martin's has new bells made from copper, etc., from Western Australia.
Perth is a clean modern showcase of Western Australia. Vibrant restaurant scene, attractive affluent suburbs, polite, friendly people and wonderful ocean resorts nearby.
Lovely city, with well-nigh ideal weather while i was there, but terribly expensive. Prospective tourists need to be prepared for that, but i was not.... apparently it is the 2nd most expensive city in Australia after Sydney, and Australia is expensive in general, so--- the local pizzeria proprietor from Liverpool even complained about the prices. The consensus is that the mining boom in WA (Western Australia)---there was a massive Rio Tinto skyscraper in the CBD--- has caused prices to rise through the roof, as it were
I love Perth - I live here. I stay at hotels as a respite from my hectic life. I would heartily recommend travellers to stay in Perth and then venture out to the delights that Western Australia offers. There is so much to see and do in Perth. There is something to meet everyone's travel wish list. Perth is very cosmopolitan and is growing in size but the people have still kept the small town friendliness that we are renowned for. Popular tourist attractions are easily accessed by a great public transport system. Truly a great destination
Perth is a nice city in Western Australia. A lot of development around the city. If you looking something different from Sydney and Melbourne.... Go to Perth!!!!! Getting around Perth is easy. The public transportation is reliable. They have free BUS in certain zone. It’s walkabale in downtown areas. Food??? Yes, you could find any kind of foods, it’s international menu. You could find any international food from different country.
It’s a beautiful city with lots of great bars and restaurants. The beaches are the best in the world! For a travel experience that’s different to what you know, try Perth and Western Australia.
Jurien Bay is a small Western Australia town. The fish and chips store was too busy on Friday night, so we found a great sandwich at the petrol station across the street and took it back to our B&B and ate it on the lanai.
The room was quite spacious to fit in all my family. The price was reasonable and affordable. I would like to thank also the reception who is willing to print one letter document of Western Australia parking that I bought online -- very grateful for that lady. The staff was also friendly -- at the end of my first day (we stayed for 2 nights), in the morning, I was asked if we need the room service - which we didn't, but it is good that they ask. Would be considering to come back again next time.
Pemberton
This house was perfect and by far my favourite of all the houses we stayed at in Western Australia. The interior has been sympathetically renovated, retaining tonnes of period character. It was spotlessly clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable and equipped with electric blankets for chilly nights. It's quiet, but also close to Pemberton's main street. Our children enjoyed playing in the fenced garden, while the adults enjoyed birdwatching.
Jurien Bay
From the outside the Jurien Bay Hotel Motel isn't much to write home about, but it's whats inside that counts. The beds were among the most comfortable we had slept in during two weeks of travelling in the north of Western Australia. My wife and I both commented in the morning what a comfortable and deep sleep we had. Truly excellent. The food at the hotel is also very good, which was really handy. All up a great stop and a pleasant end to our trip.
Our villa was very clean, well equipped with all that we needed, including washing machine and dryer. The bedrooms were very large with nice bedding and blankets, also the living area had an efficient heat pump as the weather was cooler in the evening. The living area was comfortable, spacious, with good seating and a very nice outlook. I would recommend this wonderful accommodation to anyone thinking of staying in Denmark Western Australia
Margaret River
Loved Everything! Our bed was very comfortable. The chairs were just what you needed to watch the tv. The kitchen facilities were perfect and the bathroom spacious. parking was right outside our door. Location was fantastic with shopping centre across the road, the main street at end of road with cafe's and bakery's & Tavern within easy walking distance. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in Margaret River Western Australia
The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making ourstay truly special. Located right on the stunning Cable Beach, the resort offers breathtaking views and easy beach access. The facilities, including the pool and well-appointed rooms, were excellent. Dining was a treat with a great variety of delicious food. Overall, an outstanding and relaxing experience in Western Australia that I highly recommend.
Broome
Fantastic Place, Amazing staff, Brilliant Swimming Pool, exceptionally clean, really good Showers and just a Short walk from one of the Best Beaches I have ever seen Great Advice from all the staff on placed to go in all of Western Australia They even have scooters and bikes for hire and the local inexpensive Broome Explorer Tourist bus stops just 2 minutes walk away Absolutely 💯 Recommended !!
Broome
Mantra Frangiapani was the best accommodation during our 6 weeks tour thru Western Australia! Huge apartment, nicely furnished, shower outside perfect, on all windows/mosquito doors, own BBQ, nice sitting area on the terrace - 2 pools - all really perfect! Bus stop in front of the resort, in case you don't have a car or are going to be picked up by a tour bus. We plan to return.
Bridgetown
This is the best accommodation that I have stayed at in the South-West of Western Australia. Cathy and Brian are exceptional hosts. The bed and breakfast surroundings were beautiful, lush gardens and a quiet stay in Bridgetown. Room was exceptionally clean. The daily home-made treats that Cathy provided were delicious. Highly recommended. I will be returning very soon.
Pemberton
I don't usually write reviews, but I feel Forest Lodge deserves one because I enjoyed our stay so much. The grounds were beautiful, with the gardens and the lake. The room felt luxurious and we loved the restaurant. I wish we had stayed longer here and less time at some of some of the other places we stayed during our Western Australia holiday.
Broome
Staff, location yes it under the flight path but so is everywhere. Food and drinks excellent yes a little more expensive than home but we are in nw Western Australian. Transfers from airport and to our next hotel for tour.
Geraldton
The location is nice, 2 mins to supermarket coles and hungry Jack, the house room is super clean and all the matress is very high standard and the bed is comfortable, the best place i stay in western Australia
Albany
Best Place we stayed on our journey thru the South Western Australia. Very large and clean rooms. Very well equiped. Nice hosts and quick check In. Parking in front of the Apartement. Very quiet place.
Walpole
Location is good, lots of wildlife. Room, A frame loft, is an old building and showing a lot of signs of age, nonetheless, it was comfortable and reasonably priced for Western Australia.
Exmouth
One of the best place I have been in Western Australia Simple rooms but amazing facilities: kitchen, laundry, swimming pool. Very friendly staff and perfect location in town
Mandurah
absolutely loved the whole vibe of this place and loved the brewery across the road. the pool was the cleanest in all the places I’ve stayed in Western Australia’
Best of the best but could be so much better!! This could be Western Australia’s #1 place to stay. The Forrest, local attractions and accomodation are amazing.
